Why hasn’t the use of NFTs for event tickets caught on? Seems like a no brainer? I haven’t looked into it that much

I don’t think eventgoers really care. I would say the main benefit of NFTs over web2 tickets is permissionless resale markets. But most people want to just buy the ticket to go to the event and event creators don’t want to cater to ticket flippers

It might work for really crypto native events where the simple fact that the ticket is an NFT is valuable to the attendees because they think it’s cool. But there’s not much gained for non crypto ppl
