MODERN digital Oh boy, timesharing was the debate battle-lines back then! Whos owns the compiter? Back the “the man”. California Hippies say NO, and after a bunch of LSD and PARC we get the P in PC (…oh, and then the web and the pendulum swing again) Carve the means of computation up - and then watch the sparks fly, and this argument echos again and again through history. Like harmonics on a guitar. Today: where is that LLM running mfrs?

Ohhh! It never occurred to me that that's where the "P" comes from! Very neat! And that's a really interesting point you make, about the argument happening again and again. I imagine a lot of things in history are like that -- not as unique as we think they are. Just different versions of the same old stuff, over and over again.
