The covid memory hole phenomenon needs to be studied more. For example I recently learnt that Bryan Johnson had covid and lost 15% of his lung capacity but its not something anyone asks him about nor does he have a "blueprint" for gaining lung capacity back even though that might actually be one thing that can extend life meaningfully. I've read a couple of studies about effect of traumatic events on memory in individuals but yet to read something on mass traumatic events and memory.

Hundred percent. A lot of people talk about how blurry their perception of time became. And most media barely mentions any of it. Maybe @keikreutler has some thoughts on societal memory making.
