I think this question sparks another question about living forever, what is the meaning of life or doing anything at all if you can do it in anytime during your infinite lifetime? I believe that death is the factor that allows us to go out in the world and find or live according to our purpose.

if you could live forever, would you be bothered to find a purpose to live for now? my guess is that you'd have less of an incentive to do so compared to the scenario that death is around the corner.

however, one friend has told me this argument that also resonated with me: the timeframe that we'd be able to think about would be so large that we'd be able to achieve and plan incredible things to build in this world. a project of 100 lifetimes, exploring galaxies, building things that we can only consider sci-fi

Indeed but I wonder if we need the focus & the urgency to push us to do those things? One thing I’m certain of is we’d be much more evolved self wise - we would master ourselves & be able to overcome limitations and ego constraints we inherit/perpetuate. What we could create frm that place would be pretty great

ah that is also a great take on this matter, i am also curious, do you think we'd ever master ourselves? i think we are subject to constant change, we only stop evolving once we are old. do you think if we could live forever, there'd be a point where we become more or less static? curious now 🤔🤔

All I can truly base this on is my own experience but at this stage, I feel I have evolved through 4-5 upgrades of self - and it’s only getting better & more interesting. It’s liberating in a way that enables me to use my energy better instead of wasting it in inauthentic ways. So from there the potential grows
