gm /therapy Would love thoughts, practices, tips on releasing emotional trauma. I have been traveling in rural Kenya/Uganda the past 10 days. It has been amazing but also emotional. The things I have seen and stories I have heard are heavy. Mostly been holding back the tears and need to release the joy and sadness.

EFT might be good, an embodiment practice also maybe? Naming emotions & locating physically - allowing yourself to feel it & then with each exhale have the intention to release - think 30 sec or a min. You can also hum as you exhale or vocalise in any way that comes. Progressive muscle relaxation also ⬇️ stress
