Great reminder! I feel like we can't be reminded enough in a society that prioritizes "feeling good" and being happy as much as possible. A big process for me was learning that allowing myself to feel all the emotions, including anger, sadness, bitterness, regret, frustration, disappointment, etc was the only way to not give them control when they get intense. Pushing them away or dismissing them as "bad feelings" just makes them fester and weakens our ability to navigate when deep in it. Every emotion is valid. How we navigate that space while we are in it is up to us, tho. With practice, we can be angry or sad and still be in a healthy emotional space that doesn't cause damage to ourselves or those around us.
