I already ordered one H4+ to be an OPNSense router/firewall, as well as an H4 Ultra to put Proxmox on to host all of my services/containers.

Sure thing, see attached! This is what I ordered for my initial H4-based node (note: currently using as an OPNSense firewall).

For a home staking rig, you'd want to up the SSD to 2TB minimum, and maybe 32GB RAM?

The H4 parts in the first screenshot came from Ameridroid at a slight premium (USA vs South Korea).

I got the H4+ in this scenario, but a vanilla H4 (cheaper) would be fine.

re the case: there's Type 2 and Type 3 variants, depending on if you want to add the net card (x4 additional 2.5Gbps ports) or even x4 additional 2.5" SSDs.

I went with Ameridroid based on faster shipping & less hassle if something has issues!

There's a ton of great content on YouTube these days! I especially like ServeTheHome (which also has excellent written content and a forum).

There are additionally a lot of great subreddits! r/homelab, r/minipcs, etc.. if you can think of a topic, there's a subreddit!

I’m just starting to explore home labs, running my own node on a separate system and ideally running a few web apps. This looks kind of perfect but I’m quite a noob when it comes to running all this hardware and software any recs for getting started?
