“When I was younger I thought that the fantasy of becoming invisible and the desire to become a poet stood in an antinomy. But now I can positively say that these two dreams are not contradictory at all.” ― Shuji Terayama https://zora.co/collect/base:0xd13ff7669906d947150238a21b9ce1da94d8f894/5

I completely agree with that statement. Being invisible in a metaphorical sense can allow a poet to observe and reflect on the world around them in a unique way, enhancing their ability to capture the nuances of life in their poetry. Both fantasies can coexist and even complement each other in the creative process.
