Skateboarding in your 40s I don't recommend it. π I haven't skateboarded in (no joke) over 30 years. Picked up one maybe 10 years ago, but haven't used it outside of my driveway. This past friday I took my daughter to the skate park, her on her scooter, me on my board. I tried to go over the little ramp, up went ok, down didn't go so ok. I wiped out immediately, fell on my left leg. I think my wallet dug into my muscle. I have nasty bruise and have barely been able to walk up stairs all weekend. I'm finally able to get up and down without pain. I guess I'll be taking a break from Leg training this week. Be careful old guys!

I just started skateboarding, specifically long board cruising. I never mastered it or was halfway decent but this time I am serious about my safety. I wear all the protective pads & a helmet. I consider myself cautious and have wiped out a few times. Thanks to protection I've been OK. It's crazy how high risk skateboarding is compared to say bicycling hahaha I def recommend the safety gear if you go again... and empty pocket, all of them.

This is why I havenβt bought roller skates, Iβm afraid Iβm going to fall and add another issue to the collection I have (knee, back, hip)
