Younger generations got psyoped into yeeting their paychecks into index funds It might be a +EV strategy, but it’s lazy and it trains people into not caring about what they’re buying, or even worse - not knowing! Imagine doing that for a car or for the food you eat (actually this is also true in America 🙃)

That's the entire point. Most people don't want to care, they just want to build wealth without a lot of risk. For 99% of people, this is a perfectly fine strategy, unless you want to compete with traders who have every edge on you.

Not knowing what you’re buying (in any context) is boneheaded Also I think you present a false dichotomy - plenty of other strategies that don’t involve competing with Jane Street
