I often hear people say they want to move out of the city to raise kids.

But ironically the best place I can think of for my future kids to grow up would be Manhattan. That’s what I would have wanted for myself if I had known it was an option.

City living involves a LOT of sacrifices. I have no regrets moving back to the suburbs: better schools, cheaper housing, cheaper food, relatively safer, etc...

The one thing I truly miss is the walkability/density.
