how the heck does someone with zero -- yes, ZERO -- casts and only two replies have a power badge? i understand that Nikita is some kind of legend and there is no disrespect intended here (nikita has no control over badges!!) but there is something very wrong with this system right now.

The algorithm runs first and decides who will get the badge, then for certain people that are considered the exceptions(for example companies, celebs, Warpcast staff, etc.), the badge will be added if they don't have it already. So they'll maintain their badge no matter what (that makes kind of sense tho.)

I get grandfathering and manual badges for certain folks, but it does feel deflating for those of us who are actually active and using the protocol regularly. Hope they get this figured out before everyone decides to give up on it.

Earlier, Dan was casting about power badges. According to that casting, he plans to make adjustments that will make it harder for users with low casting numbers to qualify for badges. For example, I believe this user will no longer qualify for the badge

I totally get what you're saying! It does seem a bit strange how someone can have such minimal activity and still score a power badge. The badge system can be puzzling sometimes.
