Recently watched The Road, adapted from Cormac McCarthy’s novel. Think I’m heading down a Cormac McCarthy rabbit hole now. 

For any fans, should I read The Road or Blood Meridian first?

Leaning towards The Road first as of now. 
Have you read Blood Meridian as well?

The Road. One of my favorite novels of all time. It's hard to read at first, but stick with it. You'll get used to the style.

Is blood meridian just the road notched up to another level? Or a completely different emotional experience? 

Web3 == brutal and exquisite

Blood meridian is one of the most brutal and exquisite books written. Whenever anyone says "web3 is the wild west."  I tell them to read this. Classic.

Most of the top Amazon reviews say something similiar: 

1. So gruesome I had to take a break 
2. I’m glad I came back and finished it after that break 

I have never seen a review like this for a book

Both are good, but I found Blood Meridian quite challenging. The violence can be too much for some readers, including me. After several false starts, I moved to The Road, which while dark is not as violent. Only after a few years did I make it back to Blood Meridian, which is absolutely worth completing.
