Despite the power outage, I had a photo shoot the second day after the hurricane. They set up a generator in the office so everyone could charge their cameras, phones, and even run a server. The shoot was awesome because there was no one on the beach - the waves washed away all the seaweed, leaving the beach super clean. The weather was perfect, like nothing happened. Other photographers had their shoots cancelled, maybe because of clients, but my clients did not. The only hard part was getting home from the office. I had to walk from the office because I couldn't ride my scooter yet - there is only one road in Bavaro and part of it was flooded. The main thing is to avoid broken glass, which was everywhere in these muddy puddles. Luckily, I didn't step on any glass, but I did step on a sea urchin during the shoot. Dangerous job, hahaha!
