We switched from a weekly allhands to a daily standup about a month ago and it's been a net positive: - everyone has more visibility on what everyone else is working on - increased output - surfaces blockers earlier - for a fully remote team, getting daily facetime is better for the culture - reduces need for other meetings (eg 1:1s)

What’s the structure of your daily? How do you balance participation and engagement with keeping the standup short and sweet?

Everyone writes updates before the sync in the form of: - What I worked on yesterday - What I'm doing today - Any blockers? Everyone participates and engages. If there's longer discussions, those are taken async or time is set up separately. Takes probably ~7 mins on avg with a 6 person team
