Great question! Learning who and what to trust has been the through-line of my entire founder journey.
Which frameworks, authors, gurus, workshops, investors, SMEs, KOLs, etc. So many people trying to make money for themselves, NOT for you.
Which customers to trust. Some don’t know what they want, some have bad taste, and some shouldn’t be your customers. 🤷♂️
Which consultants to trust. Some are too risk averse to give good advice to founders. Especially when they’re risking relationships and reputation on an unproven founder/startup.
When to trust my gut and when to ignore. Sometimes, “wisdom” is outdated. But failing when you’ve gone against your gut is soooo much worse than failing when taking too much advice from others. 1 reply
