1) we want to completely control the UX. @goldchain has 1 sec blocks, sub cent fees and we can add in new functionality directly into the chain 2) on the L1 vs L2 settlement decision: onboarding from L1 will only increase in cost as the value of ETH goes up so making users pay a bunch to onboard is a bad experience

I see. Pretty cool stats for goldchain. For #2 people will still Have to get from L1 to get to L2 and then again ultimately to L3. Not sure if that makes the ux much better.

Gold settles to @base so as Coinbase users enter on Base, it’ll be easier for them to onboard to games on @goldchain . Also right before we pivoted to this we were building out @sugarcane - a mobile app to access DeFi in a simple way (abstracts away bridges, chains, gas). A good chunk of that infra will be reused
