Today I stopped reading a book at the 31% mark on my Kindle. I wasn’t enjoying it. If I’m over 1/3 of the way through and it’s not hitting, I need to move on. I’ve always felt compelled to finish a book I’ve started but it’s my time: I get to choose how to use it. 

Give yourself permission to stop reading a book you aren’t enjoying.

I’m definitely gonna take this advice. Especially with books. I too feel I should finish it even if it’s not clicking. Always like, what if it picks up in the new chapter? I’ve already read about half… but our time matters.

Definitely requires some discipline and control, but still the best advice on a long time. 
Priorities our precious time and choose wisely what we do with it.

I’m going to start doing this with TV shows too. Too many things to watch. Not enough time.
