As much as I love this, I’ve not found it to be true so far. Some of the most intelligent people I’ve met have often been the least happy. They’re often critical and unsatisfied with things around them.

why the original statement is somewhat provocative: shouldn't intelligence mean the ability to find or create a situation that results in happiness?

what about agency? if an AI is trapped in a box with no autonomy, or a person is trapped in whatever form of prison that limits their dreams and potential, does that negate their intelligence?
