What's the inverse corollary of this? Does it also follow that we're not entitled to all the fears and anxieties in our life, too?

I think that's just a regular corollary. :p

I like the idea that there is some relief from applying this to negativity in life, too. We beat ourselves up and often suffer needlessly, but this is also something that is not requisite.

If we can squander positive gifts, we can squander negative ones too!
