Reality, as hard as it may be to swallow, is that for the US to come out of debt, boomers will have to sacrifice so future generations thrive. I dont think they are ready for it, but they are a big reason we are in this mess to begin with. Also defense...we know where that goes.

Is it only boomers who will have to sacrifice? Sounds like everyone will have to sacrifice so that maybe some hypothetical children of the future may benefit (and even then it's unclear that it'll be strictly better than yesterday).

Biggest sacrifice, likely they would be ones making it. Everyone will suffer, but they have enjoyed the most from a stimulus filled quarter century at the expense of future generations.
