agree, and very interesting how few people recognize that they have forfeited principles (and world views) in favor of tribalism

Humans have a lot more passion than reason.

That’s because we are mimetic creatures. 

We are vessels for the memes that pass through on their blind journey through time.

World views often sit on top on very strong and sometimes deeply suppressed emotions. And even when asked, most of us don’t want to go down that rabbit hole.

maybe folks learned people believe what they believe and if someone's not ready to see no "logical" argument would persuade

so best to get along or virtue signal or both
