Design feedback wanted… Love feedback from this community. We are building a decentralized Signal. It’s called Convos. A place for your most important conversations. No phone number required. Can chat with simply a Passkey, can have multiple identities (private or public) and bring all of your communication into one app. One key thing is to be able to bring any identity and have a secure inbox for them. Which design style would you want as a user if you wanted to connect and show up with your onchain identity?

It’s cool to think about connecting @farcaster @base @ensdomains and the ability to stay completely private with what we are calling “Randos” which allow you to connect with someone without having to give out any personal information. Messaging apps are all tied to phone number when they should be different identities for different relationships.

i like more the 1st option on the left, cleaner and simpler i'm not sure the verification check on the right-most option should come from connecting an fc account / ens, i think @talent APIs could help giving reputation-based context https://docs.talentprotocol.com/docs https://app.talentprotocol.com/profile/1979 another option below to show different accounts that the user connected, trusting ppl who connected multiple accounts

Persoanally i would like the second option, but i can imagine the third is a bit more clean for new users.

I like the middle for the conversations view The verified badges column on the right could be better for once you’re inside each individual thread

I like the middle one better, since I don't think most people would really care about the domain name and it's harder to create a fake ("courter.farcastar") domain to impersonate someone. Assuming you're the ones assigning the icons. Also, since you're dropping the ".farcaster", why not drop the ".eth"?

I like the third option, with a pinch of the second. The checkmark with the tick, but the background color could be purple of FC, blue of Base, or gray from Eth. This solution is imperfect because new identities will join, and their brand color may collide with the existing ones. On the other hand, the first option looks good as well, but be careful with people using strange chars on their handles to deceive people. Unicode phishing is too common.

1st or 2nd and I’d really love to chat with my offchain friends. Phone number testing is a good bot fence and phone contacts are rocket fuel 🚀

3rd one with a verified check. Adds more credibility. Recently a lot of scams are happening that will help with mass. But the others will follow different use cases

I agree that it's risky to introduce anything that looks like a verification icon, so I prefer the left one. It's also clearer in case some icons look similar. Really cool project! Kudos! 💪

I love the middle one. That custom verified badge is so interesting! Bring difference identity and targeted, for everyone Those all has black dots for unread status(?) i'm voted to make it another color or just lower its opacity
