The bigger move would be for Farcaster and World to just align on one open spec, called mini-apps They are both open already. Give developers one spec, double distribution, infinite less complexity. And go actually compete with the real competition for developers, Telegram. XMTP would support this spec in our SDKs natively too.

I would love to see it, but the Merkle team has historically prioritized control and lock-in - either to Warpcast or Farcaster, over any form of cooperation or interoperability.

i fully support this approach but it wouldn’t be practical to expect this from farcaster or world in the near term. and it’s very very early to create a standard around mini-apps/frames. we will see more platforms/tools that enable devs to distribute apps without platform specific complexities.

We’re working on standardizing listings on these platforms (or any other mini app-stores) but still early. Obviously a lot of technical hurdles. Would love to work with both to improve the dev experience.
