Gross but practical question: how do you keep your external keyboard / mouse clean? I've tried isopropyl wipes and it doesn't seem that effective. I have the same keyboard at work and at home but the one at home feels 100x nicer since I use it so much less. Is it a lost cause?

for keyboard: every month or so i take all the keycaps off and soak them in warm soapy water → then take them out → wipe them clean with a rag → put them back on the keyboard for mouse: wet a rag and wipe it down, then dry (you prob need more friction than wipes)

yes, I do the same too, but I think he uses the apple magic keyboard which you can't really take the keycaps out..

perplexity also mentioned using compressed air to get the dust out of the keyboard body - that's a good call too

Truth, this also works very well too, don’t need to keep on buying air
