Would make sense for recruiters to start their searches by seeing a couple of candidates with similar profiles to those already doing well in their company. Like so and so (high performer) is connected to these 5 other Sr. Software Engineers that are looking for work.

A social network around hiring only could remove the need for recruiters for junior and mid level hires and replace that with a double opt in network of endorsements where you runs a specific query: - endorsed by 3 ppl in my in list - 2 years of SDR exp - SF base Could be build on top of LinkedIn if they were chill

Yeah I think that idea has a cold-start problem though. People aren't going to go to a new app to endorse people unless there's some strong benefit for them.
