Surprised there's not a product for passing along a candidate that you liked but wasn't quite senior enough for your open role but people in your network might want to interview.

💡 experiencing this problem second hand as gf is currently in that phase. might actually ponder over this and see what i can build. do you've any visuals/ideas? what could the mvp look like? what prompted you to cast this?

Same but for recommending folks you've worked with in the past (huge number of signal points), with having a stake in their success at the new co. Maybe this exists? Have not really looked but has not come in my radar.

There is, and I used it a while back. I forgot what it was called though lol Anyways, some problems with that is: - you’re attaching your personal reputation to someone you’ve only interviewed/talked to a few times - this means only adding 1-3 candidates per cycle, so the database is small and not updated often

I'd value a similar capability set for startup referrals. I use email for both (candidate and startup) today. It's inefficient.

Candidates would need to consent to their profiles and interview feedback being stored and passed around to potential employers. A candidate would only consent if it's positive feedback.
