One counter is that hypocrisy can actually enable worse behavior. If you already have a cover story, why not go big? Here in SF we have city services nonprofits with flowery mission statements, where many of them are effectively embezzlement fronts ($1b/year from the city budget). Would they have gotten away with it as long as they have as normal for-profit contractors? Probably not.

Canβt stop thinking about how bullish i am on the /frens team! 1. They know kpis and have clear but aggressive goals 2. They know exactly who their users are and are passionate about giving them what they want 3. Theyβre iterating on the product and growing from 10-100-1000 users that love the app 4. Theyβre figuring out distribution and know all the levers to pull in different market scenarios This may seem like simple stuff but it feels incredibly rare in crypto
