One of the best projects I've made that remained 10% minted was Inaccessible Worlds: Lost Levels on Canto. I had gotten wrapped up in the success of my first project on Canto for which I still don't understand how that one did so well. It's humbling when you have some things work and others not.

We made a custom stacking engine with hundreds and hundreds of assets, traits were combined upstream of the JSON to have adjectives and nouns - millions of possible ones. We combined "Esper" cultural myth features with random graphics. The worlds had abstract concepts of entities living in them, and their style was described in the traits.

I then turned almost all the profits from that 10% into 0 by paying a developer to help me make a game for a mint site (because I wanted to). I made sprites of my friends and people I knew from the space because I thought it would be fun to see us in the game, and it'd be a neat marketing tool.

I love this style, though, and I'd like to do at least one more big project using NES roms. I've managed to screw up launching 6/8 different projects using this style so far, but I can't give it up because it still feels too much like magic.

I cannot express how much I love how you handle this sort of work especially considering how little of it I like in aggregate (the rom glitch I mean). You have an exceptional eye for composition. If I had lots of spare money I’d be sweeping your projects left and right.
