I'll be launching the full sized version of humankind candles in a few weeks (hopefully in time for valentines day)! Which coloured vessel do you like more? Iridescent, orange, or neither?

Dumb question, does the flat wick burn longer than a waxed rope wick?

Cotton wicks usually burn longer than wooden wicks. However, cotton wicks are usually chemically treated to ensure they stay lit for longer. Wood wicks are also better at diffusing smell (they produce more scent) and you get a nice crackling sound. That’s why I chose wooden wicks!

Right now my 7oz candle burns for 25-30 hours already with a wooden wick. With the cotton wick, it might just go up to 35 hours. So I felt the 15-20% difference in burn time was negligible compared to the sustainability and the lovely crackling sound :)
