There’s been more conflict on Farcaster this weekend than any in my recent memory (except maybe the invite floodgate??) πŸ‘€πŸ˜©πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Do you think it’s due to an increase in psychological safety, niceness fatigue, we’ve reached enough scale to support legitimate factions, or something else?

And I have all sorts of comments on the @kazi thread but decided more oxygen is not what that emotionally charged arena needed. If you read between the lines, everyone has valid POVs in that entire thread. And I said I didn’t want to comment but I hear I go πŸ€πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™Š

*edit* @serendipity as James Monroe https://warpcast.com/serendipity/0x2b7976 (this is a masterclass in difficult discourse imo, and I think the tone of @kazi's response is fair too)

I’m ngl, I had to look up what James Monroe did but I am guessing that this is generally a good thing πŸ˜‚ β€œHis three biggest accomplishments as president were the Missouri Compromise, the Monroe Doctrine, and the annexation of Florida for the United States.”

d'oh, so sorry! I meant James Madison, and am going entirely off memory from the musical: when confronting Hamilton about the Reynolds affair, while Thomas Jefferson was gleeful and Burr was scheming, Madison took more of the high ground as his friend (please correct me Hamilton nerds)
