imagine trying to sell the first "views" as an ad product. probably early tv days? or early newspaper days? wonder how tough a sale was to introduce the new concept.

"look i know you sell your avocados to people passing on the street, but if they put your avocados on this piece of paper, more people will come to buy!"

“How is a guy two towns, or even two blocks, away going to know the best avocados are right here?”

Allegedly marketing doesn’t work though so that poor guy had to invent guacamole.

The only thing we lack is an avocado advertisement on paper! The poor people thought they were doing magic!

Early advertising must have faced skepticism, like when newspapers first started selling ad space. 
will there ever be a modern equivalent of that 😅
