“California is a failed state” reminds me of a tech exec telling me that real PMF is when even numerous controversies and problems (eg sexual harassment at GitHub) won’t stop product usage. Similarly, California has such environmental PMF not even the failing state can stop people from wanting to live there.

as a non californian, i whole heartedly agree. the weather monopoly has an infinite premium.
