The value of an FID is in the social graph—both stated (following) and revealed (activity). Profile is secondary.

There is minimal (no?) value in the onchain primitive absent the above.

we have check to avoid bids with less than the offer in their address. 

but people can always make bids then transfer ETH to another address later.

The bids are onchain, but it looks like this person bypassed our frontend balance check when making an offer cc @n

The logic is if you had to "lock" ETH for an offer, you wouldn't be able to make multiple offers on other FIDs - the future solution is to filter offers that don't match the balance, not only on creation

They are not all real and many are unfunded when you look under the hood.
