Is there a more infuriating online parental experience than Microsoft Family?

I don’t really mind what games my kids play as long as they cannot speak with strangers, yet for some reason … this can’t be done?

Using an Xbox account to play an app on iOS.

It turns out the “request access” button doesn’t do anything, need to allow multiplayer capability or everything or nothing from profile settings.

Not intuitive at all 😂

I haven’t dealt with using and Xbox account on iOS before.  But… There’s a lot more control of individual settings at Xbox dot com than on the Family App.  Take a look:
