California will spend 9 trillion dollars, 20 years, and enormous amounts of drama and still have slower trains than Spain. But sure make fun of siestas and lazy Europeans and so on. BTW, I think the better flavor of American cope here is suggesting that Elon’s self-driving cars will make trains obsolete or something. Americans are always very proud of convoluted solutions to problems only they have and which they created themselves.

would kill for even a remotely useful train system in colorado, never gonna happen. trains are few and far between [still have to drive to the train] and the buses are basically traphouses
