Animated PFP's are going away on Warpcast 😔 

This was a much loved feature, but caused crashes and performance issues for many Android users. There was no easy fix.  

If you have an animated pfp, we'll show it as a static image going forward.

wow this is extremely disappointing

it's a small thing but basically unique to the platform 

gonna be sad when all the glitched and yonfrula pfps no longer animate 😞

as an Android user, it didn't seem to cause issues?

I def had some issues on Android like the whole screen freezing up sometimes when I play an in-feed video. Didn't know it was because of animated PFPs, so hopefully that's fixed now.

Still, wish there was a way to fix performance issues while still having the feature 😓 I'd pay a premium, I'm sure others would too

Same, I keep swapping back to my animated NFTs because it's so exciting to finally have a use for them, this is hugely disappointing and for sure a case of sacrificing utility for adoption. Not even any discussion about exceptions either
