my first and last job will be in crypto 

ive also been remote this whole time

literally don’t know what it’s like to have daily office time or how normal industries are like

is this an advantage or disadvantage?

disadvantage: for a founder/angel looking to help people and solve problems, millions of people have pain points that with your experience (and most in crypto?), you only know about through pop culture and secondhand. 

advantage: life is gud

There's daily tasks/problems in many /jobs, where empathy doesn't factor into the successful completion of it. 
Deep work experience lets you do more things, agree?

I read the initial as "literal missing knowledge of normal industries" practical skills.

Disagree with the disadvantage because lived experience can outweigh work experience in being able to empathize with problems 

would I be more empathetic as a founder if I worked in FAANG?
