Increasingly, I don’t think web3 is the next iteration of the web that will replace web2, but rather a fork that will run in parallel.

Not a strong opinion yet but something I can’t shake. 

Also not sure how I feel about it if true.

Agree completely. I’ve been trying to make this argument for a while now, and tried to explain it in this blog post last year.
