We investigated which part of the plane the anti-aircraft heavy machine gun bullets were focused on on planes that safely(?) returned from battle. After calculating the statistics, we were able to confirm that bullets were concentrated on the tail wing, central body, and both sides of the front wings, as shown in the picture below. As a remedy for this, the U.S. Navy attempted to attach additional steel plates to the area where bullets were concentrated.
