Seems like it lured lots of opportunistic dev talent rather than philosophically aligned dev talent. 

For that reason, it feels fragile to me.

Curious how you discern the difference between the two? 

Just about every crypto ecosystem has lured opportunistcally either explictly or implicitly, no?

Initially yes.  But implicitly, most recent devs over last 2 yrs are on ETH for opportunity moreso than philosphy

Don't see many of the opportunists sticking around still? There will always be new folks enticed by the money. But the builders still here and showing up at EthGlobal events around the world are definitely building to solve real problems.

For sure.  I was referring mostly to nft projs as opportunistic than builders who come to ETH events
