Get followed, otherwise engaged by well connected accounts.

Artists and photographers have trouble ranking because they don't converse (reply). They share media to root feed only, get nowhere, then give up.

Participate meaningfully in other people's conversations... for awhile... first. Avoid personal promotion.

It almost seems like asking questions and then replying to them and having conversations and comments is kind of the way to be now
