Get followed, otherwise engaged by well connected accounts. Artists and photographers have trouble ranking because they don't converse (reply). They share media to root feed only, get nowhere, then give up. Participate meaningfully in other people's conversations... for awhile... first. Avoid personal promotion.

Currently rank 300ish All I can say is that I casted my art in several art related channels and worked on connecting with people who seemed to appreciate it. And have fun. That’s an important part of the journey.

The one that hasn’t been said enough here is to: Create the community you want to be a part of. It’s better to have 10 people who honestly support your work than hundreds or parasocials who think you can do something for them

Talk about the process. Work in public. Share BTS. Farcaster is largely a bunch of nerds that care about the way that something is done, not just the what. It's part of why art that's painfully obvious AI junk doesn't land. Thoughtfully prompted AI art does well (see /optimists ). The Why & the How matter here.

I think artists just need more time in the day. They should be promoting their own brand every minute! Otherwise there is a chance to stay low ranking and nothing at all. 👇

The cynic in me would say that ranking is just a reflection of “engagement” or farming. That said there’s a few artists i love to recognise and engage with, but it’s down to personal preference/perceptions

Try to interact more with other people rather than just only casting their art maybe 🥹 need to make friend sometime. Im talking about rank not their art.
