Spam filtering is coming to Warpcast. Over the last 3 months, we've labelled thousands of spammy accounts by hand and @akshaan has carefully trained an ML model to do this automatically. We're rolling out this model starting today, and it will significantly improve the user experience.

Spam is posting irrelevant content in public spaces to farm reactions and follows. Some examples: - Posting irrelevant replies to someone's cast - Posting irrelevant content in a channel - Mentioning or recasting users unnecessarily Here's a one from a few minutes ago:

wait, you're gonna label someone's entire account as spam for saying hi to you (???)🤦🏻 i hope y'all's ML algo is better than the one that took away a bunch of people's degen airdrops for having an inoptimal follower to following ratio y'all should be careful how you move forward with these types of things pls

a one-off irrelevant comment in a public space won't get you labelled as spam. but if most of your posts in public spaces are irrelevant messages that no one else wants to read, then well... isn't that spam?

i get nervous when people make sweeping changes that could possibly affect a working artists livelihood with AI & ML algos. there are reasons all the makers of AI tools are begging their users not to use them for important decision making yet
