At 10,000 feet it's surprising to me that there haven't been more (any) meaningful projects at the intersection of ML and web3. But if you look a bit closer it makes some sense. ML is about predictions and probability whereas blockchains are deterministic.

its honestly baffling to me as well given the public datasets available. don't know if deterministic characteristics matter as much. there are some interesting ml problems around understanding identity, nft price estimation, recommendations etc.

There isn’t a ton of data yet on people. You can do blockchain security ML, but otherwise folks are still creating datasets and decentralized ML protocols.
