Crypto has lost the plot. Smartphone revolution came in 2007 and look where we're now. Bitcoin came in 2009 and we're still a fringe cultish thing. We don't just need more consumer apps. We need fun things to do onchain. And watch the world come organically onchain.

I agree. Make something that people will actually use. Ex: Only web3 people care about web3 gaming right now.

Smartphone were new improved devices Crypto/web3/decentralized money and internet are far more radical concepts, and has to go against many entrenched interests that try to stop it. In the wide scope, it’s literally trying to replace the internet we know. In the narrow scope, it wants to replace some if the most powerful entities on earth, centralized money handlers (banks). It’s an uphill battle. Outcome is pretty inevitable though.

Not a fair comparison. One is consumer tech and the other is a foundational technology. Very different adoption curves.

That's because smartphone adoption is more comprehensive among individuals, while Bitcoin is still struggling between large fund owners and the community
