Farcasters: do you think a 2-of-3 Safe is overkill for personal funds? If so, why?

Depends on amount of funds, how much it hurts to lose, and how actively you move positions.

Overkill for a social profile? Probably. For a vault holding staked eth that you touch once or twice a year with material % of net worth? Not overkill.

My technical knowledge is quite low, so I can’t really say. I guess the bots would have to look up if the addresses are signers on a safe and can reach the threshold to execute transactions. But anyways my plan was to generate the addresses from different private keys

Serious question -

If you setup a 2-of-3 safe with 3 addresses all generated from the same private key, how much safer is this than not using a safe?

Theoretically seems zero. But does it make it a wee bit harder for hackers to drain? Or are they trying these combos with their bots?

If you care about the funds and check their value, you should probably keep it on a Safe.
