Farcasters: do you think a 2-of-3 Safe is overkill for personal funds? If so, why?

Serious question - If you setup a 2-of-3 safe with 3 addresses all generated from the same private key, how much safer is this than not using a safe? Theoretically seems zero. But does it make it a wee bit harder for hackers to drain? Or are they trying these combos with their bots?
