I'm seriously contemplating setting up an ETH validator.

yup used an Intel NUC, 16GB ram, and running dAppNode as the OS. Makes it fairly easy. Some hiccups after the merge but figuring it out. Has run carefree for a year or so.

I have a 2TB NVMe in there but I’d actually suggest doing a smaller drive for OS and 3TB+ for data

it was 4% before the merge now I’m averaging 3% while I deal with errors, once it’s back up it should go back up again.

Nothing major but it’s safe and pays for gigabit internet with no caps from Comcast and then some (and you’ll need more than 1TB some months)

Interesting. That's lower than I expected candidly. I'd seen 6-10% as the norm. Sounds like it's no longer the case.
