I don't think any chain (L1 or L2) can claim to have "good UX" until transactions consistently cost <$0.01, confirm in 1 second or less, and rarely if ever fail. The chain also needs to be able to maintain all of this in periods of extreme demand. Lots more building left to do.

You could fix all of these and I still wouldn't consider any to have good UX if this is all that improves. So much more needed to a better UX than cheap and fast transactions

For mass adoption maybe we need the fees to be so cheap that they get subsidized by most apps, along with more familiar wallet solutions such as self custody via google/apple accounts? Big fan of what Immutable has done with Immutable Passport.
